Return of the Ape Man

Professor Dexter (Bela Lugosi) plays a mad scientist who brings back to life a prehistoric man (former boxer Frank Morgan) and gives it the brain of his assistant (John Carradine). George Zucco was originally cast to play the ape man but was substituted at the last minute. Return of the Ape Man was one of nine films Bela appeared in for the Poverty Row studio Monogram between the years 1941 to 1944.
